The OTC benefit offers you an easy way to get OTC health and wellness products by going to most CVS Pharmacy® stores.
Most Medicare Advantage (also known as Medicare Part C) plans include OTC benefits. Original Medicare (Part A and Part B) doesn’t typically cover over-the-counter products. If you have a Medicare Advantage OTC benefit, you may receive an OTC card, which you can use at CVS® and other participating locations to buy select over-the-counter items.
OTC benefits allow you to pay nothing out of pocket for select health and wellness items. Not every plan is the same, so different plans cover different items. However, there are common categories that many plans cover:
