Not only did the pharmacy give me parts to this version and the fast click (which aren’t interchangeable) this is also a terrible design. Previously used one touch which was fine but this giant pen shaped device makes it VERY hard to poke yourself. Idk who thought this was a good idea. I can not even bring myself to push the button on this thing to jab myself, it’s very unnatural feeling, my hands immediately sweat, and it’s hard for me to bend my hand in the way I need to to push the button due to hand issues from preeclampsia and carpel tunnel. I can see why this is covered by insurance. They probably could pay ppl to take this off the shelf and were able to make a cheap deal with the insurance company to still be able to push their terrible product. Meter is adequate, the My Sugar app is garbage.
The meter itself seems to be adequate. If you want to sue your phone for log keeping, go with another brand, the Roche app is junk. I remeber using Accu-Chek meter previously without any issue with the app, but the My Sugar app they have now will not pair with my meters. I started with the "Guide Me" model that was provided by the VA. Thinking the problem was the meter, I tried the "Guide" model that I purchased. Same Problem. I probably got the last lancet pen made on Friday.
Poor quality in construction, inconsistent strikes - some hard while others soft, arming button sticky. The meter is basic and does what is it supposed to do. The problem is the strips come in a container that is very difficult to get the strips out of - especially if one has arthritis in their hands - it is difficult to pull the hinged top open and getting the very narrow strips out involve pinching and pushing the strip high enough to grab it and pull it out. Then the manual that comes with the meter has very small text - which is very difficult to read . Did Accu-Chek forget that many users of these meters are seniors with vision difficulties and arthritis? Then there is the case that they include with the meter. It is just a thin soft cloth zippered bag which provides no protection for the meter. The discontinued Aviva meter had none of these issues and came with a case that was made to hold all that is needed to use the meter. Unfortunately the old case can not be used with the new meter as the strips container will not fit and the smaller in height guide me meter's display is covered by the elastic strap to hold the meter in the case.{{userCount} usuarios encontraron útil esta reseña.
