THEY. CHANGED. THE. RECIPE.
THEY. CHANGED. THE. RECIPE. Where once this was my childhood favorite that I could come back to on bad days they've changed it into a pasty flavorless goop with less ingredients. (This is all part of the "Now Cheesier!" Initiative, which has changed the recipe). It started out with my favorite, the classic shells, so i switched to the organic, and now they've changed this too. As far as I know, the classic macaroni and cheese (blue box) hasn't changed yet but I genuinely fear for the day my favorite recipe is out of grocery stores. Y'all think I'm joking but I will actually grieve this loss.Reply from annies.com4 weeks agoThank you for sharing your honest feedback. Cheesy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Mac n cheese is delicious. It is very cheesy but feels natural. It is more flavorful than any other brand. My family now prefers this over any other boxed Mac n cheese.0 users found this review helpful.Originally posted on influenster.com - MegaGrossedOutReviewed 2 months ago

Such a disappointment
The new recipe for white cheddar and aged cheddar is genuinely revolting. It tastes rotten. Not what it used to be, unrecognizable in flavor
They removed the cheese flavor, and now it just tastes like a bland paste. The one thing Annie’s had going for it was quality and flavor but now that both are gone, it doesn’t have any real appeal anymore. I think the only reason it still sells is because of the organic label. I worry they’re going to run this brand into the ground by turning it into a cheap, processed mac and cheese imitation that only looks organic on paper. Annie’s used to stand a whole step above other mac and cheese brands, but now it’s lowered itself to their level. It’s really disappointing, because this was the one product that truly stood out in the entire market, and they dropped the ball.Reply from annies.com3 months agoWe're sorry for any disappointment. Annie, please come back!
This one and the white cheddar shells have been my favorite mqc and cheese all my life. Then the "now cheesier" box came out, and I am so disappointed! That beloved, distinctive Annie's taste has been replaced with...cornstarch I guess. Please please bring back the original. I would pay double what a box of thos new disaster costs to be able to enjoy the original recipe again!Reply from annies.com3 months agoWe're sorry for any disappointment. Extremely Disappointing
The old recipe used to be one of my favorite foods, and was a nostalgic childhood classic. The new version tastes overly salty and fake to the point that I can barely stand to eat it. Sad that after 20 years I am having to find a new brand, as I grew up on Annie‘s and it used to carry good memories with me.Reply from annies.com4 months agoThank you for sharing your honest feedback. Terrible
I thought the box I opened what a mistake. The powder did not fully dissolve and there was no flavor whatsoever. I had to actually add cheese to it. I didn't even know the recipe had changed but now that I see this is a new version I will absolutely not be buying again. So sad. I used to like Annie's boxed Mac and cheese!Reply from annies.com4 months agoWe're so sorry to hear about your experience with our product.
