The advantage of a spray is to get even coverage. This acts more like you are writing graffiti. You have to spray close and then spread, but there isn’t a ton of lotion and it is sticky so it is tough to spread evenly. Went to a Florida with brand new swim shirts and bathing suits and used this one day shirts and suits are totally stained. Literally every sunscreen I have ever tried would sting, leave a white cast or residue, ball up, feel like paste, dry my skin out, contain fragrance, or feel sticky. This one is incredible! I don't have to deal with any of those issues. It goes on so easily without the alcohol in other spray sunscreens and is everything I could ever want in a sunscreen.
