Burt’s Bees Rescue Lip Balm contains twice the amount of waxes and butters than the original formula, making it suitable for extremely dry lips. For relief from cold sores and fever blisters, there's Burt's Bees - Bálsamo labial medicinal. This healing balm contains 0.9% menthol to relieve itching and discomfort. Burt's Bees - Bálsamo labial con color adds a subtle hint of sheer color, while delivering the same moisturizing benefits as the original formula.
What Ingredients Are in Burt’s Bees Lip Balm?
The key ingredient in Burt's Bees lip balm is beeswax, which is used to soften and to help the skin retain moisture. Other key ingredients include coconut, sunflower and soybean oils, chosen for their hydrating properties. The original Burt's Bees - Bálsamo labial con cera de abeja is scented with peppermint oil, and customer favorite Burt’s Bees Pomegranate Lip Balm contains pure pomegranate oil, a powerful antioxidant.
All Burt’s Bees lip balms are made with responsibly sourced ingredients and are formulated without petrolatum, phthalates, parabens or SLS.
Does Burt’s Bees Lip Balm Expire?
Unopened Burt’s Bees products are designed to last for 3 years from the date of manufacture. Products don't come with an expiration date, but you can work out the manufacturing date by using the 8-digit lot code date printed on the packaging. The second two digits represent the year of manufacture, and the following three digits represent the day and month. For example, a product with the lot code AH20206Z was manufactured on 20th June 2020, so it should be discarded by 20th June 2023.
Though the products are designed to last three years, lip balms should be discarded 12 months after opening and stored away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
