Due to the nature of powder products in general, settling will occur as the air escapes, leaving the product in a more compact state. The transit of the product can also compact the powder further. As an example, the scoop is the last item to go into the container, yet it is often found in the middle of the bottom. That just goes to show the amount of movement and compacting that occurs after production. The difference between the actual capacity of a container and the volume of a product is called slack fill. As a company, we abide strictly with regulations pertaining to this, and we always reassure customers that their products are packaged by weight, not volume. Rest assured, the product you've purchased will have the number of servings within as advertised on the outside of the package.
