The product ingredients and texture has changed. I began using because of the ultra thick texture but now it has changed to the thinner texture of the regular moisturizing cream. In addition I notice a slight change in the ingredients. Citric acid is no longer listed.Reply from cerave.com2 days agoHi there! Best product for dry skin

It burns!
I’ve used the moisturizing cream with no issues. When I couldn’t find it in the store, I bought the intensive Moisturizing Cream thinking it would be the same. This cream causes burning and stinging sensations that had me clawing at my skin. I quit using it but tried it again one day, same sensation. I can’t use this product for some reason. Rich in texture

My saving grace
I swear by CeraVe Intensive Moisturizer! I literally keep it next to my bed for easiest access when my hands feel dry. It helps with my eczema, don’t feel too thick, and absorbs into my skin pretty quickly. Unable to recommend Intensive Moisturizing Cream
I have used Cerave Moisturizing Cream for years and have loved the product. Recently I inadvertently purchased Cerave Intensive Moisturizing Cream. After using it, I’m still itching 24 hours later. I had to apply ice pads to my face in the middle of the night to relieve the burning and itching. My face is still red after 48 hours.Reply from CeraVe1 month agoHi there! Great for the face, too!
CeraVe Intensive Moisturizing Cream has become a surprisingly great moisturizer for me - even compared to high-end creams. I use it mostly in my cheeks, forehead and neckline, and very sparingly on my t-zone. The balance works perfectly. It gives great hydration where I need it without making my skin feel greasy or heavy. The texture is thick but it absorbs well when used in small amounts. It doesn’t just sit on my skin like some richer creams I’ve tried - it actually sinks in and leaves my skin feeling soft and comfortable. Primer friendly! The 5% hydro-urea really helps with smoothing and dryness, especially on areas that tend to get rough or dehydrated. I’ve used luxury creams like Orchidee Imperiale and this honestly performs better for my skin in terms of absorption and real hydration.
