    TOO DARK

    Way too dark. Hair was light brown with blonde highlights and I wanted more of the brown on the box. Hair is literally almost black now and has not lightened after several washes.

    Hi there! We do want to thank you for trying our Clairol Color Strong line; yet, we are truly saddened to learn that you had darker results than intended! The use of a clarifying shampoo, followed by a deep conditioner can sometimes soften a color that is too dark. We also suggest that you avoid the use of heat (ex: blow dryers, curling irons) which can further set the color in.     Not for gray hair

    Easy to use, smells great and has a beautiful color but grays coverage is non-existent. I'm pretty much 100% gray and wanted to touch up my roots and unfortunately it didn't work even though I kept it on longer as advised. They are barely color touched. There are other ammonia free coloring products on the market that work extremely well on grays but this product isn't one of them. Wish it were because I loved everything else about it!

    Garbage product, stay away

    terrible, colored mt grays yellow instead of darkest brown. Itchy scalp, the box and the web site claims that there is no PPD but the box ingredient list said contain PPD, how to understand that? also, was a terrible hair loss after the color washed out .Never buy this prduct !

    Surprise red!

    Bought Malibu to use on my daughter's medium blonde/ gray hair. Kind of confusing instructions. Read the whole thing thru before using. No bad, eye watering smell! That's nice! Easy as 1,2,3 to use. Problem was what was light blonde around her face is now red! The rest of her hair is blondish red. And it didn't cover all of her gray! Nowhere did color mention red or ash. She wasn't happy at all! Not sure what to do now other than let it wear off. Don't want to use darker color on her hair.

    Way darker than box shows

    Way darker than the darkest "before" color on the back. Hair went from a true golden brown to black. Covered grays, smells good, hair is shiny, extremely messy and stains more than any dye I've used.

    way darker results

    I dyed my hair last night with this color. It actually gave me a very dark brownish black color instead. I was bummed. I did like the smell and how it gave my hair a natural shine. But was very disappointed in the color results.

    Beautiful color but not long..

    The first time I didn't manage to cover all the grey hair, but I didn't give up.. After a few weeks I tried again- colour 5.3. It came out really beautiful colour and I would like to have it forever.. Unfortunately, 3 weeks have passed and the dye is visibly washing out.. The hair is losing its colour, it is becoming faded. I can't imagine that the colour stays on the hair for 8 weeks.
