Total Disaster
I have been coloring my hair for many years without any problems whatsoever. I decided to try Color StrongI even though it's a bit more expensive. I chose the color Big Sur. I was really excited to try it. I applied it like I ordinarily do using all of the instructions and the materials within and then I washed it out and dried my hair. To my dismay over the course of the next few days, I started to watch my hair break off. My hair grows really slowly, so it took me months to finally get it past my shoulders,. I was shocked to helplessly watch my hair break off. 2 weeks later, my hair is now at least 2 inches shorter.and it looks dry, ratty and beat up. In all my years coloring my hair, I have never experienced anything like this. I do not suggest people use this product if they have super fine hair based off my very depressing experience.Reply from Clairol1 week agoWe first want to thank you for using our Clairol products; however, we truly regret learning of your experience with our ColorStrong. disappointed
I bought the Miami Nights 5.65 color and applied last night. Box showed deep brown purple color. I have medium to dark brown hair. All it did was make my hair a really even brown. Not a single purple or red highlight, shade or hue in sight. To top it off, my scalp has been itching since. I've never had a reaction to any dye or bleaching in the 20 yrs I've been coloring my hair. Highly disappointed in the result and I had such high hopes because of the reviews.Reply from Clairol2 weeks agoThank you for reaching out to Clairol and giving us this opportunity to respond. Awful Product - Light Brown
I purchased and used the Light Brown 6.0. Chose this over Nice and Easy Light Brown (which is what I used 5 weeks ago) because this one is ammonia free. I didnt read the reviews first, because the Nice & Easy performed so well. Big mistake! The Nice and Easy was a beautiful, true light brown. Well guess what, because I chose this version of light brown, I am now a red head. Or you could describe it as deep copper. Its the absolute worst. I do not know how to fix it without frying my hair and making it worse. True buyers remorse!Reply from Clairol3 weeks agoHi there! Nothing MULTIDIMENSIONAL
I used Colorstrong 8.0 today for the first time. I am disappointed with the color. It says, it’s multidimensional , but it looks like a dull ash blonde. Very disappointed. Also, I thought it was odd not to have to shampoo the hair, just to rinse after color application.0 users found this review helpful.Originally posted on Clairol - Cindy 59Reviewed 4 weeks ago
Color not as advertised on Cairo - way too dark
I bought 2 boxes since my hair is long. Color before was a light to medium auburn. I followed directions and the Cairo, supposedly light golden brown - my hair came out super dark brunette. I have washed it 3 times and still has not lightened up. It did however, cover the grays. My hair is a mess. Previously used Capitol Nice and Easy Warm Auburn, which of course they discontinued.Reply from Clairol4 weeks agoHi there! We do want to thank you for trying our Clairol ColorStrong line; yet, we are truly saddened to learn that you had darker results than intended! The use of a clarifying shampoo, followed by a deep conditioner can sometimes soften a color that is too dark. We also suggest that you avoid the use of heat (ex: blow dryers, curling irons) which can further set the color in. If the clarifying shampoo does not lift out enough of the color, please call to speak with one of our hair color experts! You can contact us at 1-800-252-4765, and we would be glad to further assist.Regards,Clairol0 users found this review helpful.Originally posted on Clairol - cait223748Reviewed 4 weeks ago
hair turned gummy.
I bought this and it made my hair gummy after less than 10 minutes. granted i’m a bleach blonde but it states no where in the warnings that it will make bleach blonde hair gummy. i only applied it to a test strand luckily, but im quite disappointed with this.0 users found this review helpful.Originally posted on Clairol - Medium GreenReviewed 1 month ago
