I have used this colour for a few years now. Just love this colour. Have used Nice n Easy for over 30 years. I've been using Clairol for over 30 years and have always loved it but something went wrong. It was runny, burned my scalp and turned out an orangey/reddish color. My before color was blonde. Great product. 8 have used this for years.

Wrong color
Misleading Color Result – Turned My Hair Black I used Nice'n Easy 5M Medium Mahogany Brown, expecting a warm medium brown with mahogany tones. Instead, it turned my hair almost black with a visible red tint. I followed the instructions exactly and started with hair that should have been suitable for this shade. The result looked nothing like the color shown on the box or described in the name. If I wanted black hair, I would have chosen a black shade. This was very disappointing, especially since hair dye is difficult to reverse and damaging to fix. I would not recommend this color to anyone looking for a true medium brown or mahogany shade. The use of a clarifying shampoo, followed by a deep conditioner can sometimes soften a color that is too dark. We also suggest that you avoid the use of heat (ex: blow dryers, curling irons) which can further set the color in. If the clarifying shampoo does not lift out enough of the color, please call to speak with one of our hair color experts! At your risk
Used product as directed for overall color. Instead of dark golden brown, mine is almost black. VERY UNHAPPY. now trying to remove color without bleach.Reply from Clairol2 months agoHi there! Always Purchase my “Nice and Easy” from CVS
I’ve Colored my hair with only “Nice and Easy” for over 40 years. I know that CVS Will have it Fresh and my color available. I have purchased it somewhere else and it just seemed Old, must of been on the shelf for awhile!! I don’t make that mistake anymore by relying on CVS. Thanks3 users found this review helpful.
