New formula = burning allergic reaction
I bought this today from my local grocery store, because I've been wanting to go back to a natural brown. I have used this brand before. But whatever formula change has happened, is awful. I always read in the packet when it says do a strip test, if you feel any of these things you might be allergic. And never once have I had an allergic reaction. This barely touched my skin, and it felt like my head was on fire. I'm so disappointed. What's more is it looks like all, the box dyes, are having the same issue. So I guess I just can't dye my hair. Which really sucks. I've been reading about some people ending up in the hospital because of these allergens.Reply from ClairolHace 10 mesesThank you for reaching out to Clairol and giving us this opportunity to respond. 6.5 Touch Up turned hair DARK brown
I have used 6.5G for many years; love the color. Really goes with my skin tone, eyebrows, and wardrobe color pallet. I especially appreciate the different tones of color and highlights this product produces. My hair does not 'look' dyed. Needed a root touch up, so instead of using an entire box I tried (for the first time) Clairol Nice'n Easy Root Touch-Up 6.5. Followed package directions, as always. Well, I now have DARK BROWN hair, no highlights, no tone variances. Just really dark all over brown. How could that happen? It is the same 6.5G as the big box. Last time I used the regular box of 6.5G was mid-November, and it's now Jan 11th. Only had a little bit of roots. Please explain, and while you're at it, let me know what the heck I'm to do about DARK brown hair? I've never had hair this dark in my entire life and it's freaking me out at bit. How do I get the nice Lightest Brown Hair back, and get rid of this all one color mess?Reply from ClairolHace 10 mesesHi there! We do want to thank you for trying our Clairol Root Touch Up shade 6.5G Lightest Golden Brown; yet, we are truly saddened to learn that you had darker results than intended! The use of a clarifying shampoo, followed by a deep conditioner can sometimes soften a color that is too dark. We also suggest that you avoid the use of heat (ex: blow dryers, curling irons) which can further set the color in. If the clarifying shampoo does not lift out enough of the color, please call to speak with one of our hair color experts! You can contact us at 1-800-252-4765, and we would be glad to further assist.Saludos,Clairol0 users found this review helpful.Originally posted on Clairol - Reviewed 11 months agoSí, recomiendoFácil de usarDe 5DuraderoDe 5Valor De 5Cumple mis expectativasDe 5Calidad De 50 users found this review helpful.

I love it, for someone that’s not into “fashion”
I am not a girly girl. Short whatever hair - play sports several hrs a day, coach etc… but turned 40 last year and just something was turning off… Tried out the 6.5 (honestly, whatever that means) and I love it! It's light brown ish with a kinda tint of red-ish just a bit. So many positive comments and it suits me so well! I think I don't every three months, or whatever, maybe should do every two. But it's great!0 users found this review helpful.Originally posted on Clairol - BummedReviewed 11 months ago
Disappointed
I have found the perfect color for me which is 4R, but now I'm told it's no longer available. So so disappointing I will have to leave Clairol and search of my 4R color in another Product. Why don't you bring it back?????0 users found this review helpful.Originally posted on Clairol - KayagaReviewed 11 months ago
Not for wigs
I used the blonde color on my human hair wig. Didn't change color at all Nothing changed Guess it's for only natural hairReply from ClairolHace 11 mesesHi there! We do want to thank you for trying our Clairol Nice 'n Easy line; yet, we are truly saddened to learn that you did not get the results you hoped for. We do not recommend applying colorant to wigs and hair pieces as they are usually already colored. Coloring them again means you will probably not get the results you would like. If you do color wigs and hair pieces, always test a small area first. For more recommendations, we kindly invite you to give us a call at 1-800-252-4765, and we would be glad to further assist!Saludos,Clairol0 users found this review helpful.Originally posted on Clairol - SinnamonReviewed 1 year ago
Definitely not a change for the better…
Dear nice n easy, You have been a staple in my life for 35+ years. 102 natural light ash blond was fantastic! Great color, had highlights, colored the gray. I even received comments from more than one hairdresser who said it was a great color. When you changed the formula to a cream (9A), everything changed, and not for the better. It doesn't cover the gray very well, no highlights, and worst of all, it is VERY brassy. People have commented on my "strawberry blond" hair, which was not the case with 102. The only improvement, is that it smells SLIGHTLY better. Why would you mess with such a great product. It is so disappointing. My heart breaks to say this after 35 years, but I am breaking up with you nice n easy, and changing to a completely different product. You have no one to blame but yourself :(Reply from ClairolHace 11 mesesHi there! So disappointed
I bought this product 3 weeks ago. Used it according to instructions. Washed my hair dried it then applied the dye. Rinsed after 25 minutes and not coverage . Totally disappointed it takes forty five minutes to dry my hair. Waste of time and money.Reply from Clairol1 year agoWe do want to thank you for trying our Nice 'n Easy line; yet, we are truly saddened to learn that there was no coverage after using our kit.
