I have used Nice N Easy 5N for years. Most recently, the product continued to darken after mixing until it turned black. I removed it from my hair before processing time was finished and it turned out ok, but my grey hairs have a greenish tinge. Do you have a recall on this product? I tried to add images of the black color and lot/batch number, but this form would not allow. I tried to call your 800 number to discuss, but was sent into a survey.Reply from Clairol2 weeks agoHi there. Thank you for your loyalty to our Nice'n Easy. Regarding the mixture appearing darker (black/purple) after combining the components: certain oxidative dyes naturally darken immediately upon mixing due to the oxidation process. This can sometimes appear deeper in tone before application and does not indicate a safety or integrity issue with the product. This change is due to a small update in our manufacturing process, which may cause a subtle change in the appearance of the hair color mixed product to look different, but rest assured, the color results are still the same. New formula a bust
I’m very disappointed with this new formula. I’ve been using nice n easy in 5 medium brown on my white roots for many years with excellent color results. I first used the new oil infused version a month ago. I rinsed it out after my usual 35 minutes and wound up with barely covered yellow roots. Today I left the product in for 50 minutes and wound up with yellow roots again, this time with an unpleasant greenish tinge. Big waste of time and now I need to figure out a fix. I’ve changed nothing else in my hair care routine. Sadly it is time for me to move on from this product. Different color now!!!
I’ve been using this same color for years 8R and now when I use it; it does not give me the same color as usual.Complete different color than before.Not happy with this. Turned my hair green

What has happened
I have used 5 medium brown clarol nice'easy color for years. Now when I buy it, it doesn't have the right color in the box. This has happened over 5 times. Waste of money. I purchased the color #5 in Medium Brown. AND IT TURNED MY HAIR GREEN! HORRIBLE and no blue
This is purely black. There is not even a tint of blue. Despite that…this is the hardest hair dye I’ve ever tried to wash out. I only left it in my hair for 25 minutes.0 users found this review helpful.
