Purchased regular Colgate Total (not the whitening formula) and the serial numbers didn't match. I sent an email to the address listed. They responded several days later, wanting pictures. I sent the pictures, and haven't heard ANYTHING back. It's been several weeks. I don't want to use it until I know why the serial number on the box, and on the tube itself don't match. Burned mouth so badly!
Absolutely horrible. This formula burned all of the inside of my lip, under and the sides of my tongue. I've barely been able to eat. On the second day of this reaction I unded up with ulcers. Feels like the lining of my mouth is sloughing off. Be careful, contains Sodium Lauryl Sulfate
I love the way this toothpaste foams up but discovered the Sodium Lauryl Sulphate ingredient is causing my gums to swell and bleed as well as some tingling on my lips. The worst tasting toothpaste ever.
This is literally the WORST tasting toothpaste that I have ever used. The toothpaste has a nice minty flavor that lasts for 2 seconds before the misery begins. All of a sudden, the toothpaste starts to taste like mint sprayed with pesticides. After I was done brushing the first time using it, I almost threw up, I was gagging for at least 5 minutes afterwards. I immediately disposed of the tube and have never used it since. Burning stinging tongue pain!
Bought this not realizing it has stannous fluoride in it. Noticed the strong taste right away. It really burns my tongue after brushing my usual length of time. I brush thoroughly and I've found myself trying to brush more quickly to avoid the stinging pain. For the record, I have a very healthy mouth with no sores or anything like that. Irritates my mouth
I am never picky about my toothpaste and picked this one up because it's advertised as a complete package for all your oral health needs. I'm disappointed. The first couple of time of using it, it left a bad taste in my mouth. My gum was a little tingly, but I thought it was because of the "whitening" ingredients. After about a week, my tongue is burning and the area under my tongue is sore and painful. I looked at the reviews and I'm not the only one. I bought 3-pack because I never had any problems with ANY toothpaste, but I will have to throw these out because it is horrible.Reply from colgateuspwr1 year agoOh no! Colgate Total with triclosan is better than new Total SF
I have used the original Total with triclosan(brushed once daily, and flossed daily) since 1997. My dental hygienists and dentists always complimented my superb tartar control and gum health, until I started unknowingly using Total SF(without realizing triclosan was stripped) around 1 year ago. My dental hygienist started to question my dental hygiene routines, which have stayed exactly the same since 1997. My dentist also alerted me of stains on my teeth. My first try was to brush twice with Total SF instead of once, but my teeth and gum became sensitive with too frequent usage of stannous fluoride.
