Ascensia Contour NEXT is one of only 3 brands my doctor recommended and is his personal favorite. I already own the Contour NEXT One based on my doctors' recommendations and love it! The Contour NEXT Gen is no different! Great quality meter with very accurate results! I actually did 3 test with the Contour NEXT Gen and the Contour NEXT One side-by-side! I got unbelievably similar readings! One spot on identical to each other. The other two, only different by one point! Incredible! The NEXT Gen is super easy to set-up and use! The Bluetooth is turned on by setting up the meter in the free phone app. Android and iOS compatible! The free app is nice and gives great info for managing diabetes. The Smart-Light on the Next Gen is fantastic, no guess work! It lights up the color of normal, high or low readings! Also, if you do two consecutive long presses on the power / OK button a white LED light comes on where you enter the test strip! Both the NEXT Gen and NEXT One have the same Smart-Light features. It is a game changer and the main reason I bought another Ascensia Contour NEXT meter! I like the large LCD screen on the NEXT Gen it's easy to read, would be nice if it had a backlight. The NEXT One has a smaller screen but is a LED screen that is the digits illuminate on it. Overall, I really like both meters! I prefer the NEXT One a little bit over the NEXT Gen because of it's shape and LED screen instead of LCD. But, the larger screen on the NEXT Gen is definitely a nice feature! Which ever one you would choice of the Ascensia Contour NEXT line you can't go wrong! The included Microlet lancing device and included Microlet lancets are of very good quality as well! Discount prices only if you have cvs membership
I searched for this device online and saw that cvs was selling it for almost 40% off . But when I went to that store the discount is available only when you enroll in their store where you are required to give your phone email and name . Only once that’s done you get the discount or it’s full price . The advertisement or the product display didn’t show this .
