This has been my go to pressed powder foundation but when I bought a new one, it was impossible to apply, left pore marks, blotches and an odd shimmer. The UPC code on the package is the same but the back now says talc free while the original formula has talc as the first ingredient. What’s going on with this product?
I love this product and have used for years. Has this formula changed or do I have a bad package? It’s extremely hard to apply now, leaving smearing marks that are hard to blend. No Longer Any Options from Covergirl
I’ve never written a product review before, but felt this was necessary. I’ve used Clean Powder Foundation for years. There was never an issue, but I thought since I’m aging I would try the Simply Ageless + Olay Wrinkle-Defying Foundation. I got the same color, but just didn’t like it as well, so I went to purchase Clean Powder again only to find it’s been discontinued. I got the Simply Ageless Instant Wrinkle Blurring Pressed Powder instead, but I wish I read the review first. It does the opposite of what it says. It lays on top of your skin and doesn’t blend with fine lines at all - it’s like it won’t even go into them. Plus, it’s pearly or shimmery. I don’t want shimmer, just the nice matte natural finish I used to get with Clean Powder. I can’t imagine why it would be eliminated from the product line. In reading reviews here for other finishes it seems like all of the matte powders now have shimmer, including the Clean Matte Pressed Powder which I was going to try but won’t now.Respuesta de ErinHace 3 semanasHello! I have bought no less than 8 compacts of the SIMPLY AGELESS INSTANT WRINKLE BLURRING PRESSED POWDER thinking moisture or something has gotten inside the packaging. This is my favorite powder but the last ones I have purchased have left my makeup cakey and overly shimmering accentuating fine lines and wrinkles. I have learned that the formula has changed. I came here to buy the 240 and slipped into reading the reviews. Im glad im not the only one to have noticed a huge shift and way to much shimmer. I thought I bought a bad package. As a aging woman its hard to find a product that helps you feel confident when most are unable to wear foundation these days. Change ruined it!
Why was it changed!!?? It used to be perfect! The formula was changed (without warning), and now it does the exact opposite of what it was designed for. Shimmer was added to it and now it shows up every line and wrinkle! I'm so annoyed and disappointed. If I had wanted shimmer I could have applied a highlighter where needed afterwards. Bring back the original!

I used to love this product, and the new formula is absolutely pitiful. If I wanted a shimmer… I wouldn’t purchase a Matte powder. The old formula was wonderful. Now I look like I’m getting ready to go to a rave at a club on a Friday night back in 2000. I thought it was just a bad batch I received when I ordered so I tried again… and again.. and about 3 other times before finally jumping on here to see if I was crazy!
