I bought the CVS Original Strength Acid Control for my husband, and it really helps him. On May 22, 2024, I ordered a year's supply (360 tablets) of Famotidine from CVS.com because my local CVS stores did not have two boxes of 180 tablets in stock. This item was prescribed for my wife by her physician, though it is a non-prescription strength pill. There was a sale that required buying two boxes to get the low price. The warehouse shipped two boxes with a expiration date of 07/2024. I had to make a trip to a local store to exchange the nearly expired product for fresh product. The store only had one box of 180 and I had no trouble exchanging it for one of the short-dated boxes. But now I have to make a second trip to the store next week, when they expect to get a new shipment of this item in order to exchange the second box. I have learned over the many years I have been a CVS customer that I need to watch out for expired items on the shelves. I always check the dates before I buy from the stores. The CVS.com orders force one to trust the warehouse to ship fresh stock.
