I recommend this reacher, safer than a stepstool.
This has a good tight grip on whatever bottle or jar it goes after. Simple Solution for Retrieving Dropped Items
Recently had some back issues that hindered my ability to fetch things that I dropped or just happened to find their way off of an end table or such. This was the economical solution to the issue. Lightweight. Foldable for travel/storage. And the price is right-on for tight budgets. The 'grippers' are well-sized and help to retrieve even the smallest of items that succumb to gravity. Back is better now but still keep the 'grabber' handy so a sudden movement to bend over like I did up to this last incident isn't necessary. And reaching for items on a higher shelf doesn't require a step stool; another potential hazard waiting to happen. Quality and durability

Purchased again
I purchased this a year ago and use it to pick up litter on a two-mile stretch on a busy street. I had to replace my grabber when it broke when I almost fell and used it to catch myself. I have Googled others but I like this one very much.
