CVS Health™ Custom Fit Thumb Splint is easy and convenient to use. Just place it into the microwave to mold it to a perfect individualized fit for any member of your household. This product can also fit both left and right thumbs. It can be remolded up to 5 times for use with different thumbs. It is also important to note that this product is not suitable for children.     Directions Wrapping Instructions: While the heated thumb splint is still pliable, insert the thumb through the loop. Secure straps firmly around the thumb and wrist. As the splint cools it will harden to the contours of your thumb. Heating Instructions: Unfold and place on a provided tray in the middle of the microwave. Heat stabilizer for 15 seconds (600-700 watt microwave). Check the brace for pliability and temperature before placing it on the thumb; the stabilizer should be warm, not hot. If needed, heat the stabilizer on the tray for additional 10 seconds. Molding Instructions: Slide brace loosely over thumb Fasten closures comfortably. Remove the stabilizer if it's too hot. Keep thumb steady until stabilizer has hardened (10 minutes) Care Instructions: Gently hand wash in soapy, cold water. Rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry. Do not use detergents, bleach, or fabric softener.
    Warning This product contains natural rubber latex, which may cause allergic reactions. Caution: To avoid burns, do not overheat and allow 30 seconds to cool after microwaving. Do not use analgesic products. Do not use it on broken or sensitive skin. Warnings: If a rash develops or pain persists or increases, discontinue use and consult a physician. Do not over-tighten. Remove before going to bed. This product is not intended to replace medical advice or treatment.
