Does not crush pills
This product does not perform as expected. The design makes it impossible for the two crushing surfaces to come close enough to each other to crush pills completely. They always end up with larger pieces of the pill that never get crushed any smaller. Also difficult to clean.

Had to modify.
When the top is screwed all the way down, the crushing surfaces are still about 1/16" apart, meaning that small pills just sit there between the two surfaces. I carefully sanded about 1/16" off of the top edge of the bottle so the top would screw down further. Now the crushing surfaces touch, so small pills can be crushed to a fine power, like flour.

Crumbles not crushes
If you're looking to crush pills to put into food this isn't the one for you. We had to buy another one that would crush the pills enough to slightly dissolve into food. This one only crumbles the pills up. I could do that with a spoon if I only wanted broken pills.
