CVS Health Sterile Antibacterial Non-Stick Pads are wound pads that are designed to cushion and protect cuts, scrapes, abrasions, and minor burns. These pads contain polyhexamethylene and biguanide (PHMB) 0.2%. These ingredients kill certain bacteria such as methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and Staph within the pad. These pads will not stick to skin, staples, sutures, or other adhesive wound closures. There are durable layers on these pads that work together to protect your wound with a middle layer that absorbs leakage. Both sides have a non-stick film to make application and removal easier. These pads measure 3 inches x 4 inches and there are 8 in a box. They are HSA/FSA eligible.

When healing from a wound of any kind, bacteria can get in and cause an infection. Signs of infection in your wound can include:

• Calor

• Increased pain

To apply the CVS Health 1-2-3 treatment method to the CVS Health Sterile Antibacterial Non-Stick Pads:

Paso 1: Limpiar

• Carefully clean the area with a gauze pad. Use mild soap and water. Dry the area and then apply medication, if needed. (Medication is not included.)

Step 2: Cover

• Cover the area with an Antibacterial Non-Stick Pad. This will help absorb fluid.

Step 3: Secure

• Secure the non-stick pad in place using medical tape, a cover net, or a gauze roll. (These are not included.)
