It contains polyhexamethylene biguanide (PHMB) that kills bacterial withing the dressing such as MRSA and the barrier properties may help reduce infections . For best results using the CVS Health Sterile Antibacterial Bandage Roll, ensure the wound is clean by using a gauze pad with soap and water. Dry the affected area and apply the proper medication if needed. Cover the wound with an antibacterial non-stick pad to help absorb fluid, and lastly secure the pad with the CVS Health Sterile Antibacterial Bandage Roll. Rolled cotton gauze should only be applied directly to a dry wound. The bandage should be applied without tension cutting off circulation. If rolled too tight, unroll and reapply. The CVS Health Sterile Antibacterial Bandage Roll should be changed daily. The wound should be cleaned daily as well. If redness or irritation or a fever occurs, contact a doctor immediately.
