I thought prenatal vitamins were FDA regulated, but these are not. It is essential to have iron, vit B2, and vit B5. But, this product doesn't have those components (including others, e.g. calcium). I don't eat red meat, so it is difficult to obtain iron, vit B2 and B5 from food. I have had to buy additional supplements and reformulate them myself to be ~100% of pregnant women's DV. That was a lot of unnecessary work. I have a PhD in biochemistry, so I at least know how to dilute material. But, I wouldn't recommend doing that for others. Taste great!
I love this gummy version of prenatal vitamins. They taste great with no nasty after taste! I would definitely recommend these over capsules! I love the packaging and how much product you get for the price! Love that it has DHA and Folic Acid included!
I am currently 36 weeks pregnant, so the CVS Health Prenatal Gummies with DHA and Folic Acid are something that I very much need and will continue to take while breastfeeding and probably even after I wean my baby as I may decided to try and get pregnant again. I have been taking prenatals for the last few years since I had my IUD taken out, so I like the fact that the count on these are 150 and it’s 2 per serving, this bottle would last 75 days. The prenatals that I normally take are a bottle of 90 at 1 per serving, so the CVS comes in just 15 days shy of 3 months worth. Still a great value. The taste does not bother me, but I do prefer a pill I can swallow versus chewing two gummies. However this is not as big of a deal on a normal basis, but could have seen it bothering me when I was in the heavy stages of morning sickness. Also, love the fact that it has DHA in it it. That is a must for me when picking what prenatals I want to use. Nice flavor
I have been using this vitamins one each day and I really enjoy the flavor because it taste like lemonade and it’s sweet enough without feeling extremely sweet. The packaging is practice and I really think that are effective because of the folic acid.
