    Don’t Use

This shampoo and confectioner combo made my scalp irritated and itchy. I have never experienced scalp irritation or dandruff before and this was urp coming from a set that shows intense repair, because it did more damage.

    Bond Strength

I really appreciate the lightness of this shampoo. It also really strengthens my hair. Gives it a smoothness that i haven't truly had before. It is very soft and hydrated. I love the overall repair it has done for my hair.

Say goodbye to dry hair and split ends.

I've been using this conditioner for a while now, and it leaves my hair moisturized and my ends repaired. My hair is strong and has a soft, smooth texture. I would buy it again.

Is the money they saved really worth it?

This product is a sad replacement for the old formula. Dove really fumbled the ball on this one. The old formula was rich, nurturing, it left your hair looking and smelling like you just left the salon, everyday. This new formula is destructive, hateful. It Leaves your hair rough and flat. It feels Weighed down and straw like. Truly disappointed. Bring back the old formula. Dove, do better. Just do better

    Love/Hate

I used this conditioner and shampoo while staying at a Holiday Inn hotel in Oakbrook Terrace, IL. It left my hair so soft and so easy to straighten - and it stayed straight even when out in the snow! It smelled very light, almost soapy clean, a plus for me. I as skeptical because the weather is definitely colder and at that time dryer in spite of snow. I took a small bit home - thank you HI! - and tried it. Same results in rainy, warmer Texas. Impressed I ordered a large bottle of it. It works so well but the fragrance is so strong, almost overpowering. My husband said it's strong when he gets close but not cloying from far away. I sniffed my tiny sample, and the new bottle - what happened? I'd hate to have to trash so much good conditioner because of the heavy fragrance. It wasn't expensive, but still... I did look at the bottle at the hotel and as far as could tell it was the same formula. What gives Dove? I really love the results I get when using this, but I don't know if I can walk around in a cloud of overly strong fragrance. PLEASE DOVE, LIGHTEN UP ON THE FRAGRANCE!!! Or at least tell me which formula has a lighter fragrance and you'll have me forever. Thank you!

Good product overall!! Just one problem…

I love the shampoo and conditioner. It felt so amazing. However, I was worried I was going to have acne scalp breakouts and irritations because the ingredient has coco nucifera in their products which is a type of pure coconut oil and it’s very highly comedogenic with a rating of a (4 out of 5. 5 being the worst and 0 being the best). Dove please re-evaluate the ingredients you’re using. I love you but the coconut oil needs to get off from the shampoo. The conditioner and everything else, LOVE! It’s just the shampoo I’m worried about because it also has coco nucifera coconut oil (a highly comedogenic and strong pure coconut oil) in it which I need that to be removed and replace with another type of oil (like castor oil). Coconut oil is good for your LENGTHS but it’s NOT GOOD for your scalp. Guys please do your research and check the ingredients before you purchase. I didn’t realize the intensive repair shampoo has coconut oil in it which I don’t think it’s good for your scalp. The conditioner already has coconut oil in it along with silicones which is way more than good enough. Again dove I love your products but please get the coconut oil (coco nucifera oil) out from the intensive repair shampoo. Overall the intensive repair line: could’ve been a 10/10 if it weren’t for the coconut oil in the shampoo. It’s still an amazing product. I’ll give it an 8.5/10! I will purchase again but please remove coconut oil from the shampoo, it’s not really that necessary. If it was castor oil in the shampoo, it would be much better… just obviously don’t put a lot of it which can be too heavy. I still love you dove, you have great products and I love your hair care lines.

WARNING: Severe Allergic Reaction Sent Me to the E

I’m writing this to warn others, especially women, pregnant women or anyone with sensitive skin about the serious dangers of Dove Intensive Repair Shampoo and Conditioner. Within hours of using this product, I developed an extreme allergic reaction. My scalp, neck, and body started burning and itching uncontrollably, and by the middle of the night, the rash had spread everywhere even to areas where the shampoo never touched. My hands and throat began to swell, and I had to go to the emergency room for immediate treatment. I was given a steroid injection and a prescription to control the reaction, but it took days for the swelling and itching to subside. After further research, it turns out this product can contain Methylisothiazolinone (MI) or Methylchloroisothiazolinone (MCI) chemicals known to cause severe allergic reactions, rashes, and even systemic symptoms. These preservatives are banned or restricted in many countries, yet they’re still being used in products marketed as gentle and safe. No one should have to go through this. Dove needs to be held accountable for using such harsh and dangerous ingredients. If you value your health, stay far away from this product. What I went through was frightening and painful and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.
