Confusing packaging!
The packaging is so confusing! I was in a hurry in the store, so I grabbed this bottle (thinking it was lotion). Who decided putting “LOTION” in a larger, purple font right above “BODY WASH” in a smaller, gray font was a good idea!? As well as a picture of lotion on the bottle that looks nothing like the actually soap?! I feel silly for not noticing, but the packaging draws your eyes away from the key detail that it is, indeed, soap. Disappointing, because this was supposed to be my first time trying Dove lotion (other brands can be prohibitively expensive and I have very dry skin). Don’t think I’ll be switching over to a regular Dove user after this. As a customer, I want to be able to look at a bottle and know what the product is. Please stop putting “body wash,” “shampoo,” “lotion,” etc. in teeny, tiny font at the bottom, before I have to buy reading glasses just to go shopping. As for the soap, it’s fine. It does its job and I like the smell. The texture is very strange, however. I feel like I’m rubbing slime made out of kids craft glue on my skin.
