My first positive impression came from the scent. It’s not a harsh, chemical perfume but a clean, soft, and genuinely fresh aroma that lingers beautifully on clothes, towels, and bedding. My closet smells like a serene meadow, and I often get compliments on how fresh my clothes smell hours after I’ve put them on. But Dawny is more than just a pleasant smell. The softening power is remarkable. My towels, which had become a bit stiff over time, regained their fluffy, spa-like softness after just one wash with Dawny. I used container of Downy Ultra Soft Calm Liquid fabric softener - excellent results - great satisfaction - no complaints/problems. Downy Soft April Fresh product turned to thick, slimy goo, built up in dispenser receptacle causing thick, slimy gooey backed-up mess -threatened to block dispenser - difficult to remove. I will not purchase the Downy Soft April Fresh product, wouldn't recommend it.Reply from downy.com6 days agoWe're really sorry to hear you had this experience with our Downy April Fresh Liquid Fabric Softener. We understand it must upsetting that the liquid you got has this consistency you describe. When storing the product it can become thick or lumpy when exposed to extreme temperatures (either hot or cold). So, our best suggestion for storing the product is to store it at room temperature – in a cool, dry place and use it within one year. Also, if it was frozen, it will appear much thicker (gel-like) and won't return to normal consistency on its own. This is definitely not the type of experience we want you to have.
