This is a waxy/gel-like brow pencil and is one of my staple everyday products (this pencil is my second favorite drugstore brow product, #1 for me is the Morphe pencil). Good color payoff and range. The spoolie on the other side is nice quality as well. Will be purchasing and trying a darker color

Can’t live without this!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Elf brow pencil seems softer than the other brow pencils that I'm used to. Initially, I applied it too firmly and got a smudge. I had to back off and remove that. I then lightly use the pencil which worked fine, although I still find it a bit too soft for my liking. I will say it was the perfect dark brown color of my eyebrows and blended seamlessly color wise once I figured out the right pressure to apply it with. After using the brow pencil and the handy brow brush at the other end of the pencil to smooth my brows into the shape, I opened the laminating gel. Upon initially opening it, the laminating gel was a little clumpy around the applicator brush so I had to smooth the excess gel off the applicator. I then applied a layer to my brow, used the handy applicator brush included at the other end of the laminating gel to brush, shape and smooth my brow into place. I allowed it to dry. The result was absolutely and frankly surprisingly great! Wow! I love this stuff. I now wish I had used it years ago! My brows look the best they have since I was young! Amazing even! Honestly, you have to try this brow pencil.
