Reviewed 4 weeks agoMy "eye" liner won't even draw on paper!
It's like it turned into something else. I have sharpened 3/4 of it off & then went further just to find out if any part of it would make a mark. Needless to say all the test marks I tried to make on my hand were scratches from the protruding wood spikes but no matter how hard I pressed on crayon it will not come off on my skin. I finally tried to mark paper with it & nothing happened! It's like it is a hard wax material that never knew it was supposed to shed itself. I have never seen this happen in any kind of makeup I've used. It won't even melt w/ flame & work like the old maybelline trick, it does nothing but sharpen away & to more useless exposed. I don't know what they filled the pencil part with on mine but it wasnt eyeliner, more like a grey candle just no wick.

This eyeliner is so smooth and pigmented! It's a dream to use….. the first time. It's impossible to sharpen this pencil properly because the pencil shell is hard plastic and the product itself is soft. I've tried multiple sharpeners and it's a no go. Waste of money, honestly. Why Essence?!?! Please fix this!!!!!!

Good day. I have bought this pencil and a few other colours in this pencil in 2023 When i got home, i applied them to my hand to see how the colours look, now here comes the problem, I couldn't for the life of me find out how to get the pencil so that i can get more product. When i google it alot of people say that you should sharpen it. First of it looks and feels like plastic, yet i did as they recommended. Now in this photos you'll see how dangerous it can be to have something like this close to your eye. I wouldn't recommend this pencils for anyone and i feel ashamed for it because i usually like essence products. I have bought this in four colours, and it isn't the cheapest eyeliners you have. Now i feel like it's money i threw down the drain. I can't even use them because they will poke out an eye and I can't seem to make them even work with an eyeliner brush .

Easy application and long wear
CVS should stock more of this product. This pencil is easy application and long wear. They run out too often and I usually have to buy several at a time..

I LOVE how easy this gel pencil glides on....but after it wears out it will not sharpen. The lead inside just breaks off. I've tried multiple sharpeners and I have two gel pencils. Both do the same thing.

I loved this eyeliner, until I had to sharpen it. This eyeliner is smooth and doesn't smear, but I need to know if there is a certain sharpener I can use to sharpen it? Thats my only complaint is that plastic will NOT sharpen in a normal sharpener! It's hard to use on your eyes when it leaves jagged edges.

This liner goes on very smoothly, and lasts FOREVER. I went to my mother in law's funeral and my eyeliner was still perfect when I came home.
