Misleading and more than just a disappointment
This product does not wash out. I've read through L'Oreal's countless responses that it is "disappointing when a product doesn't work as expected" I'm sorry to say that it is a lot more than that. When so many reviews say the same thing it's not an isolated incident and the product itself is a failure.... let alone misleading. Hair is an important expression of a person's identity and when a product fails like this consumers are owed more than an "oh gee we're sorry this was unexpected use a dandruff shampoo." When hair is damaged a part of a person's identity is damaged. How many reviews does it take before L'oreal admits that this is an EXPECTED and VERY POSSIBLE outcome? You've clearly been told many many times. Pull the product or relable it!!!! I will not buy ANYTHING L'oreal ever again. A trusted brand has become trash in my opinion. Not just for the product but for the ridiculous response and lack of correcting a known issue.0 users found this review helpful.Originally posted on lorealparisusa.com - LittleredReviewed 2 years ago
NEVER AGAIN!!!
Ok so my family and I decided to dye our hair over a vacation. Fun right…nope! My sister did the indigo/blue, I did the teal, and my little sister did the light pink. Well it's been 1 1/2 months and it turned my some of natural red hair into blond/greenish color and my sister had to bleach her hair multiple times to get it out, which absolutely destroyed her hair. Looking at all the reviews we seem to be the luckier ones, but yet again I have to start school with greenish hair. So no I'm not happy with this product. Don't get unless you want to have permanent green in your hair.0 users found this review helpful.Originally posted on lorealparisusa.com - Lizzie Sunshine 14Reviewed 2 years ago
Colorista Changed My Life!
I have used Color Rista now for several years and love it! I am a 66 year old widow and started coloring my hair on my 60th Birthday after moving from CA to TN and was going to be all alone without my husband who's BD is one day before mine. Instead of being alone and sad I got the idea to color my hair pink. My first time I went to a stylist to treat myself - and the pink that was BRIGHT not the soft pink I thought it would be at first shocked me but I ended up loving it at all stages. Since that time I've used colorista in Pink, in Orange, and the latest in Purple. Right now I'm in Metallic Orchid04 which I LOVE and so do people that I meet! I have both young people stop me to say they love my hair and older women who love it and wish they were brave enough to try it. I tell them "DO IT! It will make you happy and it washes out!" My next color is going to be Bright Red 375 and then after that I'm going to try the Metallic Fuscia03 ---- I guess I'm more brave than some senior women but I was an Art Major and I've always LOVED COLORS!! Why be GREY when you can be Metalic Fabulous?0 users found this review helpful.Originally posted on lorealparisusa.com - RachannReviewed 3 years ago
Do not recommend
Horrible!!! Used for my 6 year old daughters hair and made it a nasty knotty mess. Tried to wash it out and I took me three washes to get most of it out but still has a tint of pink to my daughter hair!0 users found this review helpful.Originally posted on lorealparisusa.com - KellyobReviewed 3 years ago
Forget it unless you’re blonde!
My kids wanted temporary colored hair. They have medium and light brown hair. The pink was slightly visible in my child's hair with light brown hair, the purple was literally non-existent after rinsing. The green was only visible in my child's hair with medium brown hair while it was on his scalp. Could barely see it in the medium brown hair.0 users found this review helpful.Originally posted on lorealparisusa.com - Mic521999Reviewed 3 years ago
The pink works great!
I used the bright metallic pink on bleached hair. The color came out super vibrant and bright just as promised. The color lasted a surprising long time like 3 weeks before I noticed it was starting to fade. When I was ready for a new color bleach got all of the pink out in a matter of minutes. I see lots of people saying that it does not work on brunettes and yeah most straight up colors will not work on brunette hair. If you have a dark shirt and try to put a bright red or blue dye on it then you are barely going to see it. It's the same for hair you need a light base for colors to show up.0 users found this review helpful.Originally posted on lorealparisusa.com - feral catReviewed 3 years ago
love it
I have all natural hair, no perm or color since the pandemic. My hair is white around the face, then, goes gray, then gray brown. I used to color my hair purple. So I decided to do a color that was not permanent. I went with the purple(as I always did) I read all the reviews. Gray hair is the hardest to do anything to. Well the first time I just a did the ends and left on for only 15 minutes, Well nothing happened. A few days later, I took the plunge put the gloves on and just put it in the palms of my hands and just threw it on. I left it on for an hour. I got results, and it is gorgeous. Just enough color, on the gray it was several shades of purple. It evened out the brown gray with a tint. So I am very pleased with this product and I will buy it again when needed. I got it on my scalp and did not stain, not my towels either. PS. put a select for GRAY hair. please0 users found this review helpful.Originally posted on lorealparisusa.com - MimiReviewed 3 years ago
Is basically permenant
The color will never wash out! I had this in my hair and was hoping to change colors quickly, but washed my hair 30 times and bleached it 4 times over the course of months to still end up with blue hairReply from lorealparisusa.comHace 3 añosHello Mimi! We are sorry that you were not satisfied with Colorista Semi-Permenant Color. The longevity of your color result may vary depending on the hair's porosity. We do not recommend using bleach over the Semi-Permanent shades because it may allow pigments to penetrate inside your hair and this will make the color even more visible. For stubborn color we recommend trying the L'Oreal Paris Extraordinary Clay Clarifying Shampoo. Allow the shampoo to sit on the hair for 5 minutes and then rinse. We have provided the link below. We hope this helps. https://www.lorealparisusa.com/hair-care/shampoo/elvive-extraordinary-clay-shampooSaludos,L'Oreal Consumer Care0 users found this review helpful.Originally posted on lorealparisusa.com
