Great color, but as many other shave stated, the pencil does not advance on it's own nor is there a way to advance the pencil. It'd too bad, because I love the violet color. Despite the plastic-coated appearance of the eyeliner, it can be sharpened with any cosmetic sharpener. For best results, turn the pencil gently 3 or 4 times, being careful not to apply excess pressure. After sharpening, remove all shavings from the blade edge. For the most precise definition, we suggest using our Dual sharpener to sharpen your eyeliner ! The end of the pencil does not sharpen. You can't use it any more after a few uses. Loreal should take this off the market. Do not buy.Reply from L'OrealHace 7 mesesHey there Cathy! Pencils impossible to sharpen
I loved this product when I first tried it. However, only about an inch of the pencil is usable then it becomes impossible to sharpen when you get to the part of the pencil with writing on it. I tried 3 different eye pencil sharpeners, including the Loreal Infallible sharpener specifically made for these. The pencil breaks and comes off in large chunks. Horrible product with great colors.. use w/care

Never buy this item
I did love the product until the initial point was used (about 4 uses). All of the questions posted are asking the same thing, how to sharpen. Per Loreal, you use an eye pencil sharpener which I tried. After breaking thru the plastic on the tip, my point was less than pointy, more broken, uneven and not able to use. Waste of money
It's wonderful until it has to be sharpened. Once sharpened the end of the liner is too wide to apply like an eyeliner.Reply from L'OrealHace 8 mesesHi there! Can’t sharpen it.
I liked how nicely this went on and lasted without smudging. But after a week the point was getting full and there was no way to sharpen it. My regular eye sharpener just caused it to splinter scratching my eyelid in the process. What a waste of money.Reply from L'OrealHace 8 mesesHi there! Difficult but good
Nice product, difficult to sharpen and you need to be sure the casing isn't too sharp when finished. I do like how it stays on without smudging.
