As an oversupply mom who donates i go through alot of bags and have used alot of brands. These are definitely near the top of my list if the best ones. Its made of thick, durable material and freezes pretty flat. I have never had any issues with leaking like i have with some other brands. Plus the writing area is a good size and it being white makes it easy to see whats written.

I bought a pack of 100 bags and have had SEVERAL fail and leak breastmilk to the point where it had to be discarded. Very disappointed. I don't typically buy Medela bags and now I never will again. Especially during this time of formula shortage, my breastmilk supply is VITAL to my baby's growth.

Reviewed 2 years agoMade my milk smell & taste of plastic & chemicals!
I received these as a gift and I've been pumping to reserve a stockpile while I breastfeed since my baby was born in June. Fast-forward to thawing out to use the milk...my baby would not want anything to do with the thawed milk...I smelled it and my husband tasted it...the milk has a strong plastic and chemical smell AND taste! I'm beyond devastated as it is not easy for me to pump and feed and that milk was hard-earned. I'm sure it is not safe to consume something like this, even if the taste and smell were bearable.

I've used several boxes of these throughout my breastfeeding journey and one after another I find that they always leak from the sameleaks spot on the base. I love that durability of the bag and the zipper is comes with but the bag itself doesn't hold up to the test. Once frozen then thawed thats when it leaks before frozen I had no issues.

I received a couple boxes as a baby shower gift, one of these storage bags with the adapters (which I love) & recently received some samples (no holes for the adapter though). For the most part I like these bags, except for one problem - they are leaking when defrosted. I thought the first time was just a fluke, but that was not the case. I now place them in a ziplock bag when defrosting as 2 out of 3 bags will leak.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to try the Medela Breastmilk storage bags as I use them multiple times daily. The first thing I noticed about the bags was that they were made of a much stronger material that allowed the bags to hold their shape. This became invaluable when transferring milk into and out of the bags. There was no spilling or the bag crumpling while it was filled. I could even pour with one hand! The Medela storage bags also froze nicely as they lay flat, however they are slightly too wide for my popular breastmilk horizontal storage system which was disappointing. They defrosted quickly and evenly and travelled well too. I could trust there would be no leaks with the strong durable material. The double zipper is a great concept but I found myself questioning if it was really sealed or not. It would be nice if the zipper had a color indicator or clicking seal so that I could feel confident it was closed. These milk storage bags made my milk storage routine easier in many ways and I would recommend them! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Medela's new Breast Milk Storage Bag are my favorite bags for storing frozen milk. They are very durable with thicker plastic than other brands and a double zipper seal. These bags are able to withstand the freezing and thawing process without leaks! We have used various ways of thawing including placing bag in warm water and leaving them standing up in the fridge. Depending on how much milk you store in the bags determines how flat the bags will store. I find that they store flat the best at 4 oz or less. Although, at 6 oz I am still impressed at how well these bags not only flattened for storage but also at how well they protected the milk. Two features that I love are the simplicity of their labels and how easy air is removed while sealing the bags. My only complaint is how tough it is to keep the bags open with one hand when trying to add milk. However, once the bag is opened and a small amount of milk added, the bag is able to stand up by itself which makes the remaining process of storing milk easy. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These breastmilk storage bags were super easy to use. I think all brands have some inconsistency on the actual amount of milk in the bag vs what the ounce marker says, but other than that it was very comparable to similar products. I like the self standing ability of this bag better than others. It seems the bottom is wider so it does a better job standing on its own. I could thaw and warm contents fairly quickly and it was easy to store these flat in the freezer. I received this item as a part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel.
