Good hold but flaky
Overall the hold and consistency of this cream is good. The only downside is that once it dries, it turns really white, flaky, and dry which is disappointing because the package specifically states that it doesn't flake…, but it INDEED does. By the way, I have a mix of medium to tight coils and I received this product as a free sample. Zero stars. Consistency of thick cake frosting.
Curl type 3A. This is the first time I've used this product along with the curl talk mouses and wanted to try something new compared to the brand I've been using. I'm extremely disappointed with the results. I have a hair routine where I distribute product through my hair while it's still wet then let it air dry over night. This has always yielded great results for me. Firstly, the curl cream is the consistency of thick cake frosting and it was very difficult to distribute it through out the hair (even while it was wet). You can't scrunch this product into your curls, the instructions tell you to have to rub it on your hair strands top-down which can stretch your curls and disrupts their pattern. (I tried to scrunch it on first which wasn't working to get it in my hair so I did as the instruction suggested which is NOT ideal for curly hair and was still difficult to get into my hair). After adding the cream to my hair and then trying to get my curls to bounce back up by scrunching and I added the curl talk mousse. Well after my hair has dried it's DRY, crusty, frizzy and my curl pattern is stretched out. It looks gross. Great stuff!
I'm very happy with this curl cream. It is one of the better ones for my thin, Anglo, curly gray hair. I mix it in my hand with firm hold gel and apply. Style lasts for a few days.0 users found this review helpful.Originally posted on NYM
