Here is how to get a fresh tip: Use a cosmetic sharpener: A standard office sharpener will damage the pencil. Freeze it first: Pop the pencil in the freezer for 5–10 minutes before sharpening to harden the creamy formula and prevent breaking. Turn slowly: Shave it gently; the plastic casing will peel away like wood to reveal a new point.
