    Gritty

Like so many others, I found this product to be gritty and unusable. It doesn’t rub in and leaves me with a white tint to my skin. It’s expensive, and won’t be buying it again.

    Quit saying it isn’t gritty.

I’m sorry, but review after review keeps saying the formula is gritty. Your response keeps saying it shouldn’t be gritty and to contact customer service. I myself have also used obagi matte sunscreen for 16 years. The old formula was smooth and matte. I rubbed your new formula on my face and just like ALL of the other reviews claim, IT WAS GRITTY AND GREASY!!! So Obagi, take the new formula, rub it on your face, and tell me it isn’t gritty or greasy! If you still say to contact customer service, then you have lost your mind and gone crazy. You are in denial that your new formula is NOT what you claim it to be. This is a product problem, NOT a consumer problem. You have a clientele of dedicated customers for years that all state the same thing. Take this product off the market and return to your old formula. Otherwise your customer retention for this product will dwindle to nothing! I’m just giving you some advice to maintain customer retention.

Painful to apply - sandy texture

This product feels like it contains sand. It is painful and I cannot believe I am typing this, it is painful to apply. I am a huge Obagi fan of 10+ years. This sunscreen, however, is the most painful product I have ever applied to my face. I am throwing the tube out and will not be repurchasing.

    Obaji what have you done!

Like all the other recent reviews, I used this suncream for years and loved it, I purchased a new spf last week and couldn’t understand why my skin was greasy, burning and my skin had awful dry patches and bumps following a few days of use. Hate the new formula, will never buy again. Lost a loyal customer of 20 years

    sunscreen has gritty texture

Kind of surprised at the gritty texture to the cream. It did rub in, but wasn’t expecting that type ingredient in the Obagi repair system.

    Great protection

I tried many brands, but this is the best! I prefer mineral sunscreen and if you press it on the skin, doesn’t leave white marks.

    Gritty and Abrasive

I stopped using this as part of the Nu-derm system as it is extremely gritty and abrasive. It made the sloughing of old skin look worse. The texture of it is terrible. Went back to Cera-ve sunscreen.

    BRING BACK OLD FORMULA

IF IT AIN’T BROKE DON’T FIX IT. I used this sunscreen religiously for almost ten years and out of nowhere the formula changed. It’s been YEARS and I still have not found a formula that does close to the original formula of this sunscreen. What were they thinking? Why? I will forever be upset but at least this review here can help others understand what’s wrong with this formula. First of all, the product is supposedly matte. I looked like I slapped oil on my face and had to pull over while driving because it started to burn my skin. This is also the moment I noticed the formula was feeling really funky but I thought I was just crazy. I realized I’m probably not crazy once I saw my skin looking like a red greaseball. This went from a perfect sunscreen to literal garbage. Whoever say this sets matte is absolutely crazy or has the driest skin to ever exist.
