I used the old version of Regenerist Serum, Fragrance Free for many years and even have several bottles left in my stockpile. This version is much less emollient, less hydrating, and has a dry finish. The original formulation wasn't shiny and makeup went beautifully on top of it. I've noticed that Olay has added starch to this and some other moisturizers (e.g., Micro-Sculpting Cream), which accounts for the matte finish. Great for normal/oily skin types but a dewy finish is better for dry/very dry skin. One extra star for remaining fragrance free. I will not repurchase because it's not hydrating enough for dry skin. If Olay formulated a "dry skin" version of this product with increased amounts of emollients the holy grail would be back!Respuesta de olay.comHace 1 semanaThanks for your review. Bring Back the Old Serum
So sad they have gotten rid of the regenerist face gel serum for this higher priced nonsense. Why discontinue a tried and true product and then try to replace it with an inferior product and, insult to injury, charge more for it! I have been using olay for years and this is beyond irritating. Great product and helpful for my skin.
