I have been using testers for a number of years. On vacation I found i had left my tried and true kit at home. I wished to stay with a name brand product, but many were out of stock. I picked this kit because it had everything in one package to cover my needs and was hyped as a new system on the market. My impression: utter disappointment. It has a hard case (good) but lacks any straps or side pouches to keep things secured. You open it and be prepared to pick up what falls out. Instead is a slightly cumbersome plastic carrier I initially thought clever, but dislodging the tester and the lancet tool isn't the easiest for these older hands. And the lancet tool only mounts to the carrier with the lancet side away from the carrier thus not protecting the the lancet needle when the cap easily pops off. The lancet used must be proprietary so using a generic lancet is out of the question. I find the test strip awkward to use because it must be loaded from the side rather than the tip, go figure... The read was very fast, so kudos there, but several attempts to pair and sync the unit to my phone failed. The app couldn't find the phone and the phone couldn't find the app even though unit was established as connected by Bluetooth. Even uninstalling/ reinstalling the app and deleting and reestablishing Bluetooth pairing with the tester didn't work. I'll stick with Accu-chek. Not a fan!

Got for myself
So far, it works great, no problems. I downloaded the app. have had no problems syncing the meter with the app on my phone yet. The only problem is the lancets fall out of the case too easily. The storage inside the case should be zippered to prevent this issue. The storage case otherwise is made with pretty good. It doesn't come with test strips as it is advertised. You will need to get those separately. Overall it is a great upgrade & a good investment

I had a One Touch Verio Flex meter, which I really liked--I downloaded the app so I could track my readings every day. I assumed when I got the new meter, the Verio Reflect, that I'd be able to connect it to the app and keep tracking my readings, but it does not work. I'm disappointed. I would not have bought it if I'd known it wouldn't work with the app; I would have waited until the Verio Flex meter was back in stock.

almost painless and very nice quality
this lancer device is very simple to use, compact, and almost painless when you set it to the right settings. Very happy with how quick the monitor reads blood glucose level. the app is a really nice feature as well. I was so scared/intimidated to have to start testing and this starter kit made it easy and simple.
