Thought these smelled off and then read the label. No ingredients listed. So what exactly is an antimicrobial layer and why do I need to keep q tips fresh??? Why do they need to be protected from germs??? We want less chemical in the world not more. Q-tips are the only brand I trust. All others fall apart or are not stiff enough to do any job like personal hygiene or arts/crafts. They stand up when it is needed most. The cotton in the top stays intact and are soft. Though Q-tips seem so simple, they really do make a huge differnce. They really soft and dont bend easily. The way they are packed makes them easy to grab.
