New recipe is a disappointment.
I've enjoyed Chex as a breakfast cereal/dessert with a little sugar for more than thirty years. Rice and corn are my favorites. But, since returning to cereals after a short, few year break, it's obvious there's been a recipe change. Now it's just dry and flavorless. The texture is noticeably different. I've also had some of the vanilla strawberry recently. The new texture just throws something off. The second and third bowls of the recent rice Chex have both been wasted after a few unappetizing bites and thrown away. I'm now afraid to try a new recipe of corn Chex. It's a strange time we live in, to be forced to get what used to be a less desirable store brand just to have something nearly as good as the brand names used to be. Please, make foods healthier when possible, but changing the texture and flavor to something much less palatable and worthy of the trash can is a step in the WRONG direction. Does Chex NEED gluten to be as enjoyable as it used to be? This is regrettable. I've been eating Chex since the Peanuts characters were used in the advertising.Reply from chex.com2 weeks agoThank you for sharing your thoughts on our Rice Chex. Does it have corn, corn derivatives, wheat, peanut?
Love Rice Chex cereal, but can't contact General Mills in writing to ask about ingredients due to food allergies. Allergic to corn, corn derivatives, wheat and peanut so need to know what type of sugar, salt, molasses, vitamin/minerals additives are used - all can contain corn derivatives. Does your Rice Chex have corn, corn derivatives, wheat and peanut? Not asking about other allergens or top allergens or 'made in a facility with...' - only asking about ingredients. Can you reply w/ the answer. Really hoping as there's NO cereals that don't contain corn.Reply from chex.com4 weeks agoThank you for reaching out! We want to properly assist you with your inquiry. Shrinkflation
I would give a 5 star but as usual after the box has shrunk, now the cereal itself is smaller and by a lot !! Now they want you to eat more by having pouring more smaller cereal in a bowl !! Shameful !!Reply from chex.comHace 2 mesesWe're truly sorry to hear that your recent experiences haven't lived up to your expectations. Rice Chex
This cereal has a mild enjoyable flavor that doesn't require anything else with it but goes great with strawberries or bananas.0 users found this review helpful.Originally posted on chex.com - Sí, recomiendosanne026Reviewed 2 months ago
Chex Rice Review
Staple growing up, and still a go-to healthy cereal. Love rice chex! Especially since it is an option for those I know who are gluten intolerant, it works great.0 users found this review helpful.Originally posted on chex.com - Sí, recomiendoNancyPReviewed 3 months ago
I eat Rice Chex every morning.
I love Rice Chex. I especially like the texture when it gets a little soggy. I like that it is partly whole grain (unlike the store brand) and has little added sugar. I buy the Family Size box to save money per serving. I eat one cup of Rice Chex every morning with unsweetened soy milk, one tablespoon of chia seeds, and one cup of frozen cherries & berries from a 3-lb bag. I chop the frozen strawberries and heat all the fruit for 40 seconds in the microwave before adding it to the cereal. In the summer, I use fresh, local strawberries or blueberries instead. I usually eat an egg and/or some nuts as well, along with a cup of tea.0 users found this review helpful.Originally posted on chex.com - Govt79Reviewed 4 months ago

Disgusted
My husband opened a new box this morning and was eating his cereal, he found a wad of rodent hair the size of a nickle when he bit into it!! Absolutely disgusting! It was the plain rice cereal that he has eaten for years! Very disappointing and he will never eat it again. DO BETTER I would have given 0 stars but that isn't an option!Reply from chex.comHace 4 mesesWe're sorry to hear about your recent experience.
