Thin Condoms Offer a Natural Feeling

Thin condoms provide a good balance for many couples. You get the protection you need with thin material that feels less like you're using a condom. CVS offers some of the thinnest condoms available to make adult activities more enjoyable for everyone involved.

What Are Thin Condoms?

Thin condoms are just like regular condoms except the material isn't as thick. They're just as durable and offer the same protection as thicker condoms. Some people prefer the best thinnest condoms they can find to get a more natural feel. With thin material between you and your partner, you can experience more sensations with less latex separating you.

Do Thin Condoms Protect Against STDs?

Yes, thin condoms protect against STDs and pregnancy like all condoms do. They use the same durable materials as other products; they're just made to be thinner. Most thin condoms are made from latex, but you can find non-latex options, too. Manufacturers test their products regularly to ensure they're durable and effective.

How Do You Wear Thin Condoms?

Even the thinnest condoms work like any other condom, from how you put them on to how you dispose of them. Store your condoms in a cool, dark place to prevent them from breaking down and becoming less effective, and check the expiration date before using them. To put the condom on:

  • Open the package with care to avoid tearing the condom. Look for any tears or damage before using the condom.

  • Place the condom on the tip of the penis. Squeeze the end of the condom to get the air out of the tip.

  • Unroll the thin condom down the length of the penis to its base.

As is the case with other condoms, you can pair thin condoms with personal lubricants. Water- and silicone-based lubricants give you the slippery feel you want without damaging the condom.

Are the Thinnest Condoms the Best Option?

Choosing the right condoms for you and your partner is often based on your preferences. Everyone has different opinions regarding what feels good during intimate activities. Some couples prefer thin condoms to feel more like they're getting skin-to-skin contact. Others enjoy textured condoms, which add friction and can increase different sensations during penetration. The key is finding a contraceptive option that feels good to everyone involved, so you get protection and satisfaction.
