This product will slather your clothes in a super-strong offensive scent that lingers and lingers and lingers. Odor eliminators? No. My laundry smells and feels like they're covered in chemicals. First I have to stop using Dawn after being a loyal customer for 40 years. And now i have to stop using Tide after being a loyal customer for 40 years.Reply from tide.comHace 3 mesesWe're sorry to hear you didn't like the scent, and we understand that the scent of the product on the clothes is a personal preference. It could be that incorrect dosage could be the cause of too much scent remaining after the wash, so we recommend using less. If you use a fabric softener, this can also affect the scent left on the clothes after the wash. Be sure that you're using the correct amount of product compared to load size/dirt levels, and if you are concerned about the scent on your clothes, try re-washing in another product or variant. Each variant (i.e. tablets, liquid, powder, liquitabs) has a different perfume, so trying a different form may help. Bad Pods after a years of Good ones
Very bad customer service Very bad customer service. They run you round and round in circles and never answer the question. We came across a bad batch of pods that would discover all 3 chambers in water. The end result was ruined clothes and work uniforms. We've been using the same machine and pods for years at the same house. When trying to talk to CS and give them the box info, they don't seem to want it or care. When asking them about finding out if it was a bad batch or not, they wanted me to mail the pods in and would need 6-8 weeks for a response. Hopefully it was just a bad batch and they get it fixed. Based on the CS I'll never buy a PnG product again. Kayle and Paige really need more training on how to work with consumers.Hace 5 mesesWe're disappointed to hear this, Jeremy. Great Scent
Love the scent in these Oxi pods. I usually stay away from anything oxi, as it has never done a better job of cleaning in any product I've bought. I usually used the Hygenic clean pods and they clean very well. It was the scent that brought me to the oxi pods. I love the scent and it stays with the clothes even after the dryer. Plumber and Teacher Home
I am a teacher who has delicate clothes and my husband is a plumber who has yucky work clothes. The Tide Hygenic Power Pods are amazing for both of our clothes, I am sensitive to smells and so are many of my students but I have never had the scent be too overwhelming for myself or them. Extremely intense “perfumey” scent
I have been a Tide pods user for years and recently bought a large tub of the Oxi Odor Eliminator variety. After one washload, I know that I will not continue to use these pods. The scent is overpowering and obnoxious - "shrill" might be a good description. Instead of eliminating odors, I believe that the ingredient just adheres to fabric fibers and covers them up. I had to change from a freshly washed nightshirt in the middle of the night because the scent was giving me a headache. My husband also cannot tolerate it, and it's lingering! Because it's not fading, the entire load will have to be washed again in plain water to hopefully remove the scent. Scent change
Fourth generation Tide user (former). I am an 80/20 person with natural products. These Tide pods with Oxy were one of my exceptions because it made laundry enjoyable with the scent. Now the scent has changed and I'll be going back to a natural laundry detergent. Why change something your customers loved about your product without warning? It's not a scent upgrade, it smells nothing like the original. The new scent downgraded your product. Scent change!
These WERE my absolute favorite pods! Recently bought a new box and the fragrance has changed…now a powerfully strong chemical smell instead of nice clean laundry smell. Confirmed with chat on the tide website that they recently "upgraded" the scent. I am so disappointed. But ONLY when using this. I've tried it two different times now (and it's not cheap) and both times I've experienced this. Not with the other Tide Products just this one.
