I use silicone storage bags mostly, but need something less expensive for freezing meat. First purchase … used discount coupon + the $4 off $12 Total Home CVS brand, which is why was purchasing a second set. This time they were on sale for buy 1 set, get 1 set for 50% off. I’ve purchased single items that were advertised BOGO50%OFF before and gotten the discount, but not this time. At self check out I debated whether I wanted to complete the purchase … $12.99 is too expensive & even paying $4 less is too much. I have to be very careful to make sure they are closed tightly to avoid the very thing (no leakage) that I need for freezing meat. Hope to make these last, will think about replacing them with something else as needed. I like how it stands up but it's thin like a pencil case. Material: 40% PE + 60% EVA - more plastic which I was trying to avoid. Part of seal snapped on first wash. Bought 5 mos ago and feel more fragile now. Not dishwasher safe as advertised
I bought like 8 of these hoping they were nice silicone bags. They were very thin. I ran them through my dishwasher on the top shelf, as indicated in the care instructions. They literally all melted. Some melted together, some had the zippers fully melted.
