Smoky meat snack stick
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Delicious meat stick. Mild smoky flavor with a hint of spice. Three is a nice snap when biting into it, but easy to eat. The package is easy to open, tears nicely. SLIM JIM STEP ASIDE!!
This is a MAJOR Ingredient in my home made pizza!!! I used to use a Slim Jim for what we called "Slim Jim Pizza" but now we use Vermont Original Beef & Pork Stick to create a to-die for pizza using premade "All about the Base Caulipower Crust" Slather your favorite pizza sauce (we love Casa Visco italian style pizza sauce) slight layer of Cabot Seriously Sharp cheddar shreds (keeps the toppings elevated over sauce) Toppings - sprinkle evenly the following: thinly sliced Vermont Original beef & pork stick (about 3/4 of a stick, save the rest for an omelet!) small diced sweet onion (about 1/4-1/3 cup) small diced purple or red pepper (about 1/4 cup) 2 ounces thinly sliced rectangles of Dodoni authentic sheeps milk feta cheese (optional but amazing) another layer of Cabot Seriously Sharp Cheddar Shreds a good dusting of parmesan freshly grated authentic reggiano if possible cook at 425 for 13-15 minutes get it browned and bubbly we always sprinkle dried italian herb mix, granulated garlic, black pepper.
