This brush has 2 sides of bristles, one fiirm and one soft side. I have shoulder length hair and this brush is pulling my hair out. The soft side can only be used for smoothing the hair. Very good brush for the money
I was looking for a good brush for our shorter haired dog and had not found anything to my liking at the pet supply stores. Happened to be in our local CVS and saw this brush. One side is soft bristles, the other a little firm with rounded bristle ends so as not to scratch the skin. After some careful consideration I felt confident it would do a nice job and purchased it. It does a great job.
