The best moisturizing foundation for you may be one that's formulated for your specific skin type, such as dry, mature, or combination. Foundations designed to combat the signs of age, such as Neutrogena Healthy Skin anti-aging perfector, can be especially helpful in restoring moisture to mature skin. If you have sensitive skin, you may try a sensitive-skin foundation that may help reduce breakouts or irritation. 

You can also choose between a foundation stick and liquid foundation. Powder foundations are available that go from dry to wet, allowing you to adjust the amount of liquid you need. The exact ingredients you'll want in a moisturizing foundation depend on your skin type. If it's dry, you may want to look for products containing oils and butters, since those may help lock in moisture and prevent dryness. For oily skin, avoid oils and look for a matte base foundation. If combination skin is your issue, try out a few different moisturizing products to find which one works best for your complexion.
