I recently had surgery on my wrist. I bought this thinking it would work for showering. I had my "cast" on for two weeks, so I used it many times. It kept water from my wound and was easy to apply myself with only one hand. It would work so much better if I didn't have to cover my whole arm from finger to shoulder. I wish someone would invent a shorter option for hand/wrist covers. Kept my son's splint totally dry!
I was skeptical of purchasing at first, because I used a similar product in the past that had a hole in the rubber, allowing water to flood into the bag. However, I gave this product a shot knowing to look for any damage to the product first. My son went swimming with his splint from Urgent Care, and it stayed totally dry! This is also going to be great for him to keep it dry in the shower too. Does not work
I wore this in a pool and only sat on the step. When I stood to get pout of the pool, it filled with water.
