DO NOT BUY I recently bought the CVS Teardrop Humidifier while battling a nasty cold, desperate for some relief to help me breathe and sleep through the night. At first it seemed decent enough—compact, easy to fill, and it added a nice level of moisture to the dry bedroom air. However, the experience quickly turned into a nightmare when the water tank ran out in the middle of the night. Instead of simply shutting off quietly, this humidifier unleashed an extremely loud, repetitive three-beep alarm that sounded just like a smoke detector going off. It blared over and over, jolting me awake repeatedly, while a bright red light flashed intensely, lighting up the entire room like an emergency signal. As someone already sick and exhausted, having to stumble out of bed in the dark to refill it was the last thing I needed. This is by far the worst design flaw I’ve ever encountered on a humidifier—completely unsuitable for bedroom use, especially when you’re ill and need uninterrupted rest. Effective and easy to fill
I've been running this constantly for two weeks and it's been VERY effective. Didn't see the point of "warm" mist, and don't need an essential oil dispenser, so this seemed ideal. Not expensive especially after applying coupons. While rated only for medium rooms, it still increases humidity 4-5% for the first floor at maximum output. Lower settings are fine for bedrooms at night. It fills easily from the top without having to remove a reservoir or open any seals. It recommends distilled water, but we're using water from a Brita filter pitcher and it seems fine. Have not tried the cleaning instructions yet, but will probably need to soon. This humidifier works very well
I have other, older humidifiers. By comparison, this one is very easy to fill. It holds more water and runs longer. It's easier to direct the mist without having to reposition the whole unit. The first humidifier I bought malfunctioned within two weeks.
