Megared Fish Oil

The omega-3 content found in fish oil may play a role in helping older adults maintain their cognitive health and regulate mood. There's also some evidence that omega-3s from fish oil can make ischemic stroke less likely. Certain studies have found that people with diets high in omega-3 content may have better heart health than those who rarely eat foods high in omega-3 content. 

DHA, a kind of acid found in omega-3s, is a major element in eye health; maintaining adequate levels of DHA may therefore help support low-light vision. Alongside EPA, another acid found in omega-3s, DHA also plays a role in reducing joint inflammation and may offer some level of relief for arthritis. 

Some MegaRed fish oil products are made using algae oil, which contains highly concentrated DHA and EPA levels. 

Like fish oil, krill oil contains omega-3s that have high levels of DHA and EPA, so its benefits are similar. Some studies show that krill oil may be more effectively absorbed by the body than fish oil. Krill oil also has stronger antioxidant properties than fish oil, which can provide more effective anti-inflammatory effects for joint health.

Fish oil is more widely available than krill oil, since fish oil comes from a variety of marine life and krill oil is sourced specifically from Antarctic krill. Some MegaRed products include both krill oil and fish oil, while others contain only fish oil.
