I received this foundation along with the primer, finishing powder and under eye concealer. I have been wearing makeup since I have been 13 and ironically started with Cover Girl. With that said I have tried all sorts of make, high end thru drugstore and this is the worst I have ever used. People think I look younger than my age but this product line makes me look like I am 90. And it feels awful on my skin. The powder is the worst of all the products and rather than conceal wrinkles it makes me look like I have wrinkles I don't.Reply from CoverGirl Consumer AffairsHace 4 mesesHello! Packaging
I would like to try Simply Ageless Foundation, but am leery based on the reviews where several people complained about opening the product. We tighten the lid to the foundation to keep the product fresh. This compact should easily open by twisting the cover off to reveal the foundation by holding the bottom of the jar tightly with one hand and the purple lid with the other hand. Turn the purple lid firmly to the left to loosen the lid. Replace the lid when not in use. We hope you will consider giving this a try! hard to open
I have used this for years, I'm 79, and I do love it. Strayed once or twice just to see, and returned. My only problem is that it is always so hard to open. I have to get an exacto knife or some other tool to run around the opening. I'm strong, but this is always a challenge. Allergic Reaction
I've used Cover Girl products for many years (since I was a teenager!) and have never had a problem with the products. As my skin has matured (I'm 51), I decided to switch from the Cover Girl Clean Fresh foundation to the Olay Simply Ageless because it has the benefits of sunscreen and hyaluronic acid. Many years ago I had tried Olay products on their own (I was actually part of a test study when Olay makeup first came out before it partnered with Cover Girl), and I had an allergic reaction to their makeup. So I was a little hesitant to try this foundation, but decided to try given that it has been many years since that experience. Although the product is creamy and sat nicely on the skin, within two days of using it, I broke out in a horrible itchy rash on my face. I immediately stopped using the product. I'm glad I didn't pay the full cost (had a $3 off coupon with Target). But it's a shame it has to end up in the trash. Not sure what's in the Olay products that I'm allergic to. I use other hyaluronic products without problems and never have problems with sunscreen. Oh well.
