This meter measures blood glucose level and nothing else- no option to code it's 'before (or after) meal', or one's reason that might have contributed to the reading- 'too much food', 'exercise', etc. It's not good for Type 1 diabetics.0 users found this review helpful. - HarryReviewed 4 years agoThis is a cute and really compact meter. I like how I can carry the meter, the strip container, and the lancing device in one little unit. The lancing device is adorable. It works with most generic lancets. (The lancing device is 5 stars, I'd buy the meter and just give it away just for the lancer). The cons are the test strips are expensive, but you can find TrueMetrix test strips at most pharmacies or online. However, I recently bought some fresh test strips for the meter, and tested them against results from the same blood as my Accu-Chek Aviva meter. Whereas my AccuChek was giving me a blood glucose reading of X units, this meter was giving me a blood glucose of X+20 units or X+40 units. If I suffered from hypoglycemia, this would be very concerning.0 users found this review helpful.
