Gel all the way!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I only use gel nail polishes because they not only look great but also last a long time. I really like the top coat, it feels thick and once cured it gives a very nice, matte finish. I try to keep my nails painted really regúlarly, and often I can't afford to get a regular manicure. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product makes my nails look so nice. It turns a shiny finish into a matte, calmer finish. It provides a thick, solid coat. It does have a couple issues. You have to lay a very even coat on. If a spot gets too much polish, it can appear like a thick bump on your nails. So you need to make sure the coat is even throughout. Also, you need to make sure you get edge to edge of your nails. If you miss a spot covering the regular nail polish, you will be able to tell because anything not covered still appears shiny. Also, it dries really quick. Like within a minute it felt like. If you do miss a spot, you can't just dab some top coat on the spot you missed or it will become uneven looking. So you'll have to apply a new, second coat to get full, even coverage. But I love the look and the strength it provides. Hesitant but loving it

Essie gel couture is the best alternative for me. I usually love having the shiny polished nails but I tried this out and I really loved it. It gives a whole new look to your polish.
