Does the job pretty much

Drawback is having to refill the water tank almost every night and regulating the humidity is not intuitive. Great product thus far.
So far I really like my Brondell it picks up the slightest bit of air contamination. I haven't yet seen my electric bill so cannot comment on that. I do wish it had a handle that made it easier to move. Also the shipping carrier used left it on the street in front of my SF apartment so I'm lucky it wasn't stolen. We're very happy with our Brondell it was easy to assemble and doesn't make a lot of noise. We love the fact that's it's a two in one humidifier and air purifier. Thinking about buying another to cover more areas in our home.
